Stephen Porges' Safe and Sound Protocol
Now available in the WEST ISLAND
A NEW intervention targeting STRESS and AUDITORY SENSITIVITY in individuals suffering from social and emotional difficulties!
Consider the SUMMER PROGRAM at West Island Neurofeedback which offers more hours of availability.
LESS TANTRUMS; BETTER LISTENING; MORE CALM; LESS REACTIVITY TO TRIGGERS; MORE SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT for individuals aged 2 to 80 with ASD; trauma; misophonia; ADHD and anxiety; and more. Take one week out the summer – one hour per day – to jumpstart a fundamental change for your child or yourself.
The SSP (SAFE AND SOUND PROTOCOL) was designed by Stephen Porges, psychiatrist and researcher who is the developer of the Polyvagal Theory. His treatment targets auditory sensitivies; anxiety and trauma related challenges; inattention; and stressors that impact social engagement. It is designed to stimulate nervous system regulation, leading to an improved capacity to respond in school, therapy and other activities.
It is a 5 day (must be consecutive) intervention consisting of one hour per day.
An initial assessment/information session will be required to participate. The fee for the entire intervention is 450.00, reimbursable by insurance (150.00 for the initial meeting with a psychologist and 300.00 for the 5 day program.) Although the intervention is offered anytime, the summer is ideal for families with active schedules to ensure they can make the 5 day commitment.
